September 5th - Welcome Coffee (8:15am) An opportunity for
parents to enjoy a cup of coffee and a snack while socializing.
Information is available about the PTO and some basic school policies.

10th– October 1st Gift Wrap
Fundraiser
Children take orders
for gift wrap, candles, and other small gifts. All of the vendor's
offerings are all made in New
England.
Participation is optional, but as the funds benefit everyone, we hope that
everyone can take part.
September 19th:
Welcome Back Slush Party (5-7pm)
Enjoy a slush and have
fun with old and new friends (free).Volunteers are needed to help set up, clean up, and scoop slush.
October 25th:
Halloween Party (6-8pm)
Come to the school in
costume for crafts, games, and food! A nominal admission fee is charged
to cover costs, and food and drink are also available for a small fee.Lots of volunteers are needed to staff craft
tables, run games, serve food, set up, and clean up.
November 17-21:
Book Fair
During the day,
children will visit the book fair with their classes, and will have the
opportunity to purchase books. They may also come back with a parent
during designated hours, and we hope to offer an evening
"parents-only" shopping night as well. Profit generated by this
event is used to fund the library.Volunteers are needed to help staff the fair.
November 19thand
February 4th: Rollerworld (6-8pm)
The rink (on Rt. 1 in Saugus) is closed to everyone but the Roosevelt community. Enjoy an evening of skating with
your friends. A nominal admission fee is charged to cover rink
rental. Rental skates are available for an additional charge.
December 10th:
Winter Wonderland (During school hours)
Our elves work hard all
year to provide a fabulous boutique where kids can do their holiday
shopping. All items are under $3, and children may purchase up to five
gifts. The "elves" will wrap one gift per child.Volunteers are needed to help set up, run
the "boutique", and clean up.
March 20th:
Wine Tasting/Silent Auction (6-10pm)
This popular event is
back for its fifth year. Enjoy an evening of great food, entertainment, and
beverage tasting, and bid on fantastic items. Ask anyone who has gone -
it's a great time!Volunteers are
needed for planning the event, obtaining auction donations, and lots of tasks
the day of the event
May 9th:
School Play (7-9pm)
The annual school play
is back for its third year. Enjoy a student production starring Roosevelt third, fourth and fifth graders. Volunteers are
needed to help with rehearsals, set creation, and tasks the day of the play.
June 16 th:
Field Day (During school hours)
The children are
divided into teams, and compete in fun games. Volunteers are needed to
help run the event.
June 16 th:
Year-End BBQ (5-7pm)
Join
your friends to end the school year with a BBQ. Enjoy typical BBQ fare,
including slush for dessert, and dance to the DJ. A nominal fee is
charged to cover costs.Volunteers
needed to plan, shop, set up, serve, and clean up.
