The mission of the PTO is to create a working relationship between Roosevelt parents and staff to provide the best possible learning environment for our children. We do this by raising and providing funds for enrichment programs, library books and supplies, classroom equipment, field trip buses with seatbelts and general faculty support.
The PTO holds monthly meetings, and provides social activities for both students and parents. Some of the activities include our annual Halloween Party, a night at Rollerworld, the Winter Wonderland Gift Shop, and our popular Wine Tasting and Silent Auction. These events are a success due to our wonderful parent volunteers, and we are always looking for more volunteers to help share in the fun.
A note about fundraising: All of our funds are self-generated. We hold a variety of fundraisers because we know that different people prefer to participate in different ways. Please do not feel obligated to participate in a fundraiser that makes you uncomfortable in any way. If you'd prefer to make a donation in lieu of participating in a fundraiser, that is always fine, too! Don't forget that any donations are tax-deductible.
