Subcommittee meetings are held on the 2nd Tuesday of each month in the Aldermanic Chambers at Melrose City Hall. Meetings are televised on MMTV Channel 16.

All School Committee meetings are posted to the Central Office Calendar.

The responsibility of the Policy and Planning Subcommittee is two-fold. Planning first establishes a vision for the school system and a mission statement for the committee. Policy development establishes guidelines and goals to accomplish the tasks, provide budgetary requests, and support for student achievement.
