NEASC

Every ten years, Melrose High School is subject to the accreditation process in conjunction with the New England Association of Schools and Colleges (NEASC). The next scheduled review is in 2010.

DESE Coordinated Program Review

The DESE indicates that "As one part of its accountability system, the Department of Elementary and Secondary Education oversees local compliance with education requirements through the Coordinated Program Review (CPR)." It is conducted every six years and covers nine different components. Melrose had its last review in 2005 and is next scheduled for review in 2011.

At the three-year point, a Mid-Cycle Report is produced by the DESE identifying special education components that need additional implementation and adds any items that are part of changes to the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act resulting in a follow-up plan to ensure that all requirements are met.
