MVMMS Squid Dissection Assemblies
Seventh Grade,  April 29-May 1, 2009

There will be three separate Melrose Veterans Memorial Middle School Squid Dissection Science Assemblies of seventh grade students in the third floor project room.  Team 7C will attend on Wednesday, April 29, 2009.  Team 7A will attend on Thursday, April 30, 3009, and Team 7B will attend on Friday, May, 1, 2009.  Ms. Rebecca Bray is a Marine Biologist and Educator from the Biomes Marine Biology Center. She will be visiting all grade seven science classes this week to dissect and discuss the fabulous SQUID.  This program is made possible by an MVMMS PTO Enrichment Grant. Thank you to all who volunteer and support our classrooms!  Information from the Biomes website about the program states:  "We take squid dissection to the next level with this program. We will lead your class through a dissection using chemical free squid as well as displays and preserved specimens from our own Giant Squid Dissection! Designed in part by a squid fisherman's wife, with the input of commercial fisherman, this is not the typical squid dissection."  For more information visit www.biomescenter.com to learn more.
