MVMMS Students Invited to Write "Patriots Pen" Essay

All Melrose Veterans Memorial Middle School students are invited to enter the annual Melrose VFW "Patriot's Pen" 2008-2009 Essay Contest.  The Patriot's Pen is a youth-essay writing contest endorsed by the National Association of Secondary School Principals (NASSP).  The theme of this year's essay is "Why America's Veterans Should be Honored"  All essays must be 300-400 typed words.  The judges will count the words.  No pictures or graphics should be included.  Do not write your name on the essay.  Staple a slip of paper with your name and grade on the essay.  There will be one school-wide winner.  All essays must be submitted to the main office at Melrose Veterans Memorial Middle School by Friday, October 31, 2008.
