Melrose Veterans Memorial Middle School students have been issued two safety reminders on Friday, January 20, 2012.  First, the ice on Ell Pond is currently not safe.  Please remind everyone to stay off the ice on Ell Pond and other ponds until such time the ice is declared safe by city officials.  Second, please remind all our students to use extra caution crossing all streets in Melrose.  Use extra caution in the morning and in the afternoon crossing the busy streets adjacent to our campus.  Students must exit cars only on the sidewalk side of the street.  Students should never exit cars directly onto the center lane.  Students should cross streets only at the crosswalks.  The safety of all our students is our first concern.  Thank you.
