Melrose Veterans Memorial
Middle School student representative Coy W., 8A, has been nominated as an ambassador to
represent Melrose
at Project 351 on January 14, 2012 at the Massachusetts State House.
Governor Deval Patrick, Honorary Chair of Project 351, will host a day
of dialogue, service learning, and community impact in Boston.
Coy will be joining other eighth-grade middle school students from the 351 cities and
towns in the Commonwealth
of Massachusetts for this
community service event. Project 351
student ambassadors will gain leadership skills, create impact in the lives of thousands
of citizens, and engage directly with Governor Patrick on topics of interest to
them and their peers. Project 351 is a
day of community service, and it is staffed by a team of volunteers and
supported by a coalition of leading community service organizations and
non-profits including Boston Cares, City Year, Citizens Schools, and Cradles to
Crayons. For more information, contact Ms. Carolyn Casey at carolynm.casey@gmail.com. Congratulations to Coy! Posted by Principal Brow - 12/26/2011
