Melrose Veterans Memorial Middle School sixth grade students will be attending an assembly on Thursday, May 28, 2009 featuring an owl.  The owl will be brought to the school by the Wingmasters Program, a partnership that is dedicated to the understanding of North American birds of prey.   The students are inspired by owls since they recently read Hoots by Carl Hiaasen.  The students on Team 6A will attend the assembly at 11:36 a.m.  The students on Team 6B will attend the assembly at 12:25 p.m., and the students on Team 6C will attend the assembly at 1:15 p.m.  For more information, contact Mrs. Colgan at ecolgan@melrose.mec.edu.  A special thank you to the Melrose Veterans Memorial Middle School PTO Mini-Grant Committee for making the presentations possible.
