Melrose Veterans Memorial Middles invites all students and their families to join the Massachusetts Family Literacy Consortium in November 2008 and celebrate "Family Literacy Month."  This proclamation encourages all middle school students and their families to engage in activities such as reading and the telling of oral stories.  We encourage you to reflect on the readings and stories.  Draw pictures of the readings.  Enjoy reading books and discussing the stories.

The Eleventh Annual Melrose Veterans Memorial Middle School "Writers' Week" is scheduled for February 9-13, 2009.
