There will be a Melrose Veterans Memorial Middle School 5th-to-6th Grade Parent Orientation Night on Thursday, June 4, 2009 at 7:00 p.m. in the auditorium.  The program is for parents only; it is not planned for the students.  Parents will see and hear information about middle school teams, the academic program, the curriculum, intramurals and clubs, SMART Boards, the Digital Classroom, student response systems (the "clickers"), Spotlight School Award, and the WMVMMS-TV, Channel 85 live morning broadcasts.  The program will also give parents an understanding of the developmental changes of middle school children and the uniqueness of middle school instruction.  Admission is free.  For more information, contact Principal Brow at tbrow@melrose.mec.edu.
