Kindergarten

Classroom 109

Room Parents:
Kristin Haggerty and Katie Kenawell

Homework Procedures/Expectations:
I never want a student to become frustrated with a homework assignment.  Homework is to reinforce what we have learned in the classroom.  Hopefully, homework is fun.  Twenty minutes on a homework assignment is long enough for Kindergarten.  I give homework assignments every three weeks from our Story Town Units.  I give a worksheet on math, phonics, handwriting without tears, social studies, mini-booklets, poetry, or an arts and crafts project.  I also want the student to read to a family member or a family member read to the student at least 20 minutes a day.

Classroom Routines:
Monday -Art at 12:50-1:30
Tuesday - Music at 12:50-1:30 and
Wednesday - Art at 12:50-1:30 and Library at 10:35-11:10
Thursday - Physical Education at 10:35-11:10
Friday - Computer Lab at 10:35 - 11:10
Fabulous Friday at 9:00-10:00
