Wed May 27th – "Teaching Social Skills Across the Day"
10 am-12 by Katherine Johnson
In the Superintendants Conference Room, in the High School
Social skills are one of the keys to success for all children, especially those with special needs. Improved social skills can open the doors to inclusion, community involvement, and friendship for a child. Come to a 2-hour workshop on how you can help your child improve social competencies. Topics include selecting social objectives, defining targeted skills, determining a teaching environment, selecting a method, and working toward generalization. Come hear tips for recess, lunch, play-dates, and social occasions and bring your questions for a Q&A at the end.
