HM Home / Principal's Page HOT TOPICS – MAY 2012 by Mr. Jeff Strasnick • We will be setting up a time for the 4th and 5th graders to receive bike riding safety lessons from the school resource officer. After completing the class students will receive a bike license that will then allow them to ride their bike to school with parent permission. Please remember that all students need to wear a helmet to school if they are riding their bike, scooter, skateboard, etc. to school.• This month grade 1 will be hosting Monday Monthly Meeting on 5/7 at 1:30pm. They will be discussing our next monthly character trait of emphathy. • Be sure to register for the annual golf tournament and luau dinner soon. Remember you can just attend the dinner if you don’t golf. You can register online or by filling out the form in the Happenings. • Teacher Appreciation Week is the week of 4/30. Teachers love home made things from students that show how much they are appreciated. • We have our final early release day on 5/30. The registration form to have your child(ren) attend the enrichment program is in the Happenings. • Please note that the Memorial Day Parade is 5/20 NOT 5/27. We will be looking for students to march with us in the parade. All students who march in the parade will receive a “no homework” coupon. • There is no school on 5/28 in observance of Memorial Day. |
