School Gates locked at 3:00 PM Cars school grounds are closed to cars and trucks after 3:00 PM. Drop-off  (ONLY IN BLUE AREA -see drawing at right) In the morning, if dropping off, please pull forward to the clearly marked drop-off zone adjacent to the circle. This zone begins and ends well after the front doors. Please respect this policy and resist the temptation to stop directly in front of the school's front doors. This practice creates an extreme safety hazard, as well as back-ups behind you. If the dropoff zone between the two white barriers is full, please wait until those cars pull away so that you may pull up to the drop-off zone. If you must watch your child walk into school, then you should park the car. The drop-off zone is for a quick send-off only.During inclement weather, students will proceed directly into the school building in the morning instead of waiting with their classes at line up. Pick-up (NO STOPPING IN DROP-OFF ZONE) In the afternoon, no standing is permitted in the drop-off zone which is reserved strickly for school buses. Parking It is highly recommended that all parents/guardians back into the spots when parking. This gives drivers a clearer and safer view when pulling away, especially in the afternoons. If you do back in during the morning drop off, please shut off your engine so that exhaust isn't moving in the direction of the students in line. It is worth noting that traffic rules are most often broken by those who pick up Hoover students infrequently. Please remind caregivers and grandparents about the traffic and parking rules. Also, please respect any specially marked "reserved" parking spots near the circle and along the building. Parents bid on those spots during the auction and deserve the convenience of parking near the school in inclement weather for "their" month.
