Does your child have an academic or extracurricular achievement that you’d like to share with the Hoover Community? Does your family have a Hoover alum with an extraordinary accomplishment that we should cheer about? Has your child been a good, helpful citizen, and made his or her parents proud? Please
send in a description of your child’s accomplishments or good deeds and we’ll give them a Hoover Hooray!
Hoover is very proud of all the talented students who auditioned for
Melrose High School's production of "The Sound of Music". You were all
very impressive. Out of the 220 Melrose School District students who
initially auditioned, 12 were finally cast in the play.
Congratulations to the Hoover students who were selected for a role as
the Von Trapp children:
Ella DeCecca, Virginia Guanci, Harrison Jumper, Keith Morris and Sebastian Roizner.
Congratulations to Saoirse Connolly and Emma Sikora and their Melrose
Youth Hockey girls U-10 team for winning the district championship.
Saoirse notched 4 goals and Emma netted 2 goals during the tournament.
It's now onto Springfield in March to compete for the state
championship. Good Luck Girls!
Congratulations to Alva Ronn, 5C and Virginia Guanci, 4F
who helped their team, the Melrose YMCA Shark Swim Team Girls 9-10 age
group take home a big 1st place win and a title of Eastern
Massachusetts District Champions. Alva swam hard and strong with 2
best times and a big contribution to a winning relay. Virginia posted
best times in all 3 of her events and also contributed on one of the
winning relays. Great job girls! It's so nice to see all your hard
work pay off!
