Dear Parents,

We are very excited to announce that we will be installing a total of six additional SmartBoards before the end of the year.   We will have four new SmartBoards and the two portable will also be installed in classrooms.  Two SmartBoards and the instillation of one of the portables are from the students selling our May calendars.  The PTO is buying a SmartBoard and I am purchasing a SmartBoard and installing one of the portables from enrichment funds and morning program funds.  We will have nine out of twelve classrooms with SmartBoards.  On May 27th Mrs. Flynn’s first grade classroom and Miss O’Leary’s third grade classroom will be getting SmartBoards installed.  On June 8th Mrs. Lacount, Mrs. Forrest, Mrs. Stamos and Mrs. Bertolozzi will all have SmartBoards installed.  The 8th of June worked out well because the fifth graders are at E-camp and it will allow the students to move to the fifth grade classrooms while their SmartBoard is being installed.

The Hoover Garden is looking beautiful!  Several of the classes have started their planting and please do not allow your children to play in the garden area.  The PTO is working on a shed and the Garden Committee is looking into a fence to project the garden from animals.

The Hoover is looking for empty Tidy Cat litter containers for composting lessons.  The container looks like a clear square milk jug.  Please contact me if you are able to donate these containers.
