As part of its commitment to meeting the educational needs of children, the Melrose Public Schools is pleased to offer preschool education programs for children beginning at three years of age by September 1st of the enrollment year. The Melrose Public Schools Early Childhood Center, located in the Franklin School at 16 Franklin Street.
Each program recognizes the importance of early childhood education and is intended to encourage children’s active involvement in the learning process. Programs are designed in conjunction with the Department of Education’s Early Childhood Program Standards. Each program in the Early Childhood Center offers many unique aspects to pre-kindergarten education. Family members are encouraged to actively participate in their child’s classroom and learning experiences.
