Great Start Night: Wednesday, September 1st, 6:30 - 8:00. This is an adult only event when you can hear from the Director and Teachers regarding curriculum, classroom and general school information.

"Sneak Peek": On Thursday, September 2nd from 9:00 - 11:00, you can bring your child to school to meet their teachers and see their classrooms. Teachers are busy getting ready for the 1st day of school so plan to keep your visit within the allotted time.

First day of School for 2010 - 2011: The first day of School for ECC is Tuesday, September 7th. All paperwork must be returned (including immunization records) in order for your child to begin school.

School Closing/Delayed Openings: If there is inclement weather that causes a delayed opening in Melrose, school will open two hours later than the usual start time. In that event there will be no Title I AM classes, no Preschool and no five day Pre-K classes (normally meeting from 9-12). However, Title I PM classes, Multi-Age and four day Pre-K classes will be held. The PM Title I class will start at the usual time. Multi-Age classes will start at 10:25 and four day Pre-K classes will start at 11:00. All will end at their regular times. If school is cancelled for inclement weather, information is communicated through our Connect-Ed system. It can also be found on the following Radio and TV stations: Radio: WBZ, WRKO, WCVB.
