Child Find Program Child Find is a continuous process of public awareness designed to locate, identify and refer as early as possible all children birth through age 21 with disabilities who are in need of Special Education. As part of the MPS Child Find process if you suspect a child, at least 3 years old by September 1, 2012 who resides in Melrose, of having a disability you are welcome to participate in our preschool age Child Find Process. Important Dates: Monday, February 20 - Friday, February 24th: School is closed for the February Break Thursday, March 8th: ECC has a half day. Programs beginning at 8:25 will end at 11:25. All other programs end at 12:00. Stay and Play will be offered for registered families. March 15: Tuition Due Friday, April 6th: School closed for Good Friday observance. Monday, April 16th - Friday, April 20th: School is closed for the April break. Monday, May 28th: School closed in observance of Memorial Day. School Closing/Delayed Openings: If there is inclement weather that causes a delayed opening in Melrose, school will open two hours later than the usual start time. In that event there will be no classes that normally meet from 9:00 - 12:00 (Preschool, five day Pre-K or 1/2 day multi-age). All day Multi-Age and four day Pre-K classes will be held. Multi-Age (8:25 - 2:10) classes will start at 10:25 and four day Pre-K classes will start at 11:00. All will end at their regular times. If school is canceled for inclement weather, information is communicated through our Connect-Ed system. It can also be found on the following Radio and TV stations: Radio: WBZ, WRKO, WCVB.
