The Board of Directors of The Bridge: A School/Community Partnership; Joseph
Casey, Superintendent of Schools; the staff and faculty of the Melrose
Public Schools; and Emily Rubenstein, Coordinator of Volunteers; thank the
many people who volunteered their time and talents to support our schools
during the 2009-2010 school year. Click here to view this year's list of volunteers.
The Bridge: A School/Community Partnership is a non-profit organization that recruits, screens, trains, and places volunteers in the Melrose Public Schools.
In response to requests from teachers and administrators, volunteers
are used to support, augment and enhance programs in the five
elementary schools, the middle school and high school. Bridge
volunteers are parents, retirees, grandparents, professionals, people
from the business community, government employees, high school, and
college students.
Are you someone who is reliable and friendly? Do you enjoy being with
young people? Are you interested in education? Could you give some
time, even a small amount, to students who are eager to learn? The
Bridge: A School/Community Partnership offers you a wonderful
opportunity to become a Melrose Public School volunteer.
